In June 2012, the government announced some changes to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or UK settlement or the naturalisation as a British Citizen that will come into force from the month October 2013. From October2013, all applicants of an ILR or settlement must pass the Life in the UK test and also Level 3 English Language speaking and listening qualification at B1 level or above of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages unless they are exempt. Entry level 3 English test is also referred to as B1 English language test. ESOL entry level 3 English Test provides the gateway to become British citizen and also offers alternatives to qualify the life in the UK test. Entry level 3 English Test for UK settlement will also help you to improve your knowledge of English language and prepares you for the ESOL Skills for qualification in language reading, speaking and listening.

What Is the Requirement of ESOL Entry Level 3 English Test?

To gain the UK citizenship, you need to prove your knowledge of the English language skills if you are over the age of 18 and applying for UK citizenship or to settle in the UK (also known as
Indefinite leave to remain) unless you are exempt.

You can prove your English knowledge by having:

English qualification test at B1 level or
a degree taught or researched in language English

Entry Level 3 English Test is another requirement for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) or British Citizenship. Entry Level 3 English language test may be taken as a standalone speaking, reading and listening test. Authentication in English Language is connected with Common European Framework of Reference for different Languages at B1, B2 and C1 Level.

Exemption from the Entry Level 3 English Test

ESOL Entry Level 3 or B1 CEFR English test in speaking and listening for ILR or Indefinite Leave to Remain and British citizenship or a British Passport. Certain groups of people are considered exempt from entry level 3 English test or B1 English language test. Their level of English language knowledge has already been demonstrated by other means. Consider for example, if you have a degree or higher-level qualification which was taught in language English then you do not need to show a formal English speaking and listening qualification. You are already qualified in English language test.

What Are The Two Certificates Needed To Apply For Indefinite Leave to Remain or British Citizenship?

One is the Life in the UK test certificate and the other is a B1 English test (GESE Grade 5) best taken from Trinity College London as it is the easiest. The exam is only 10 minutes and usually most people pass it unless the student’s English is absolutely zero.

What this means is that you will need to speak and understand English language to a reasonable level and then you can pass the test.

  I strongly recommend any courses from Fast Track as it was my second course with them after accomplish successfully the life in the UK test on 17th April 2021.

Therefore, 3 days of passing I decided to enrol in another course with them called Driving Theory Test Training, which they help me to pass my theory test first attempt on 3rd June 2021 in just 3 weeks of online training.

In addition, from my point of view it is the best place for you to consider in taking any kind of courses from Fast Track Training related to your desire.

I just don’t have words to say thank you to my teachers such as Mr Gazin and Mr Rahil as they motivated me a lot by giving me online group training via zoom twice a week, but if you are not able to attend a group session they also got one-to-one session.

Furthermore, the teachers are fully trained and have been teaching for over 10 years, which they are confident in giving you the support you need in order to pass your theory test first time like me, such as motivation, explanation and confidence as well as knowledge and online training from the platform plus online training via zoom.

Also, I have been told from Mr Rahil, who is one of the teachers from Fast Track Training that in the future they gonna produce recorded videos explaining any gaps from each topics besides mock tests.

  I hired fast track training for my wifes A2 test preparation and from the first telephone call till the end they were very professional. The 121 training was ideal for my wifes preparation and she passed the exam in Leicester first time. Which was a massive relief for the visa process. The classes were on time and flexible.
