Know About English Language Test

The Life in the UK Test 2014 is especially designed to test your knowledge of English language and the Life in the UK in general. Initially Life in the UK test was made compulsory for those people who wanted to apply for Naturalisation or British Citizenship, but later it was made compulsory for even those who wanted to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK or settlement in the UK. If you are the speaker of English Language Test Preparation to a reasonable standard, you will need to pass the Life in the UK test 2014.

Knowledge of English Language Is Mandatory!

You need to demonstrate your knowledge of English language and the life in the United Kingdom that you normally need to have before you make an application for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) or British citizenship (also known as permanent residence, UK residency). Life in the UK test can only be completed online in a government approved building on their computers. We can do English Language Test Preparation in our training college which is a speaking and listening test which lasts 45 minutes.

There are two ways in which you can demonstrate your knowledge of English Language Test Preparation and of the Life in the UK Test:

  1. If you can speak English language to a reasonable standard, you will need to pass the Life in the UK test 2014.
  2. If you are not the speaker of an English language, you will need to appear for and pass English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course entry level 1, 2, 3 which contains citizenship materials. In order to check your language ability, you should work through the tutorial on the Fastrack website. If you cannot speak English Language fluently, you may need to take a course in English language and British citizenship.

If you are planning to apply for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain/ Naturalisation / British Citizenship), we will be happy to offer you professional help in the UK. Fast Track Tuition and training centre is here only to provide you a gateway UK citizenship. Many applicants express concern over the contents of the English Language Test Preparation, what the test involves, and whether they will be able to pass the test successfully. The UKBA has set the English language test at the A1 standard of the CEFR.

What Are The Two Certificates Needed To Apply For Indefinite Leave to Remain or British Citizenship?

One is the Life in the UK test certificate and the other is a B1 English test (GESE Grade 5) best taken from Trinity College London as it is the easiest. The exam is only 10 minutes and usually most people pass it unless the student’s English is absolutely zero.

What this means is that  you will need to speak and understand English language to a reasonable level and then you can pass the test.
